My Over Rated Teams for 2.27.07

1.) Bowling Green State- they play in a very weak conference. Yes, they played Duke a good game ,but have had some very close games with very weak teams.
2.) Purdue- The Boilers play in a weak conference also. The Boilers have lost to Texas and a very weak Irish team from Notre Dame. The inconsistency of Katie Gearlds has also hurt. I believe gearlds has always been way over rated.
3.)Louisville- The Big East is not the conference as in years past. Yes, Tom Collen is a great coach but having 1 superb player will not get you very far anymore with the parity growing in womens basketball.
4.) George Washington - Very Well Coached but nothing else has impressed me about the Colonials. Look for Temple to upset them in conference tournament.
5.) Arizona State- an excellent team but more like a 12-15 ranking.
6.)Marquette- a weak conference and weak schedule have hurt them.

Your Thoughts on the Oklahoma vs. Ohio State game

I believe Stacey Dales-Schuman hit the nail on the head. The Sooners perimeter defense kept getting beat time after time forcing Courtney Paris to help. This gave OSU several easy buckets throughout the game. Jessica Davenport had a great game against Courtney Paris. Davenport finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds plus forcing Paris to change her shot and blocking some of them. Paris turned in a sterling performance hitting for 22 points and 13 rebounds. Please tell me your thoughts.................

BEST COLLEGE PLAYER EVER?

This question has been asked millions of times.I have heard many different answers. Even though Cheryl Miller and Nancy Lieberman were a little before my time,I still cannot see them as being as good as anyone on this list.Yes, they were the pioneers for the New Era of Womens Basketball ,but I think they would be average players today at best ,especially Lieberman. From what I understand Miller was more athletic and more gifted.
Diana Taurasi is heads above the rest if you ask me.Holdsclaw was good but nothing like Taurasi.Taurasi had the 25' to 26' foot range and was a true marksman from downtown.I cant say enough about Taurasi. She has skills that no 1 else can even come close to.If I left someone out you think should be considered please leave the name in the comments and why do you think she is the best.
