Legendary Tennessee Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt announced this week that she has early-onset Alzheimer's disease. She will continue coaching and, in typical PHS style, has said that she doesn't want a "pity party". As always, Coach Summitt inspires us with her incredible toughness and character. Best of luck to Pat as she continues to do things that no other coach has done before. She is now in a position to change public opinion about people with this disease, and has already started to do so with her courageous approach.
